Home

The Enchanted Map by Colette Baron-Reid

What do you think of when you hear the word home? The most obvious meaning is a physical location, where you live. But there is so much more to it than that.

- Home is where my heart is.
- It's where I feel safe and secure.
- I'm at home when I am comfortable in my own skin.
- I feel at home with like-minded people.
- I'm finding my way home on my spiritual journey.
- Home is the people I love.
- Being surrounded by nature brings me home.
- Home gives me a sense of belonging.
- I'm at peace when I am at home.
- I am where I am meant to be right now.
- I am home.

What does "home" mean to you?

  1. Hi Martha :) Firstly, I WANT TO LIVE IN THAT CARD....it's so enchanting, so lovely!! :)

Well, as you know, home is my safety zone. I try to make it as cozy as possible so that I never want to leave. Home is where I always want to be, it's my heaven on earth so to speak. Home needs pets, warmth, soft things, candles, good food and wine and love for me to feel really at home. Home also is a place where I grow...grow plants, grow my skills, grow my spirit. Even though this is a rental, I still make it home...so it's not the structure itself as a house, it's what I make of it. Home is also feeling grateful that I'm feeling good and at peace almost every day.

    1. I know what you mean about the card! It pulls you right in. This deck is even more beautiful than I imagined. I'm so pleased with it.

You got it about home. It's not the structure, it's the spirit within. I guess that applies to where we live, as well as what's inside of us. When we are at home, we are happy and at peace.

  2. I feel at home in a lot of places ~ Good thing too because I'm on the move a lot. I carry home around in my heart. It's where I can completely be myself. It's love and it's memories of the people I love who are always with me.

    1. Memories are wonderfully portable, aren't they? Wherever we take them, that's where home is!
